Switching Regulation in the Control of 5-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Fed by 3×5 Direct Matrix Converter

Matrix converter is an AC-AC direct power comprising of array bi-directional switches. It does not require intermediate DC-link and allows sinusoidal output waveforms with varying amplitudes frequencies. The configuration these switches decides the number inputs outputs matrix converter. This research uses a (DMC) as phase-changing device that can convert three-phase AC voltage into 5-phase voltage. DMC modulated model predictive control algorithm. fed to five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). current technique for carried out by developing mathematical input filter PM used load. results in current, it also enables frequency variation current. useful controlling speed connected After motor, switching regulation done observe its effect on motor's stator waveforms.
